Repair Instructions

Fitting the Pendulum Shaft

• Lubricate half the shaft (the half that has not
been lathed) and press it into the steering
spindle from the rear (see illustration).
• Fit the washer and circlip on the pendulum shaft
by the inner mount.
• Fit the dust cover (with thin lip towards the rear)
approx. 2/3 of the way in on the shaft and lubri-
cate the shaft on both sides of the dust cover.

Roll the rear frame forward and press it onto the
pendulum shaft.

• Fit the washer and circlip on the pendulum shaft
(1).
• Attach the cables' mounting plates (2) and the

gear and brake cables (3 and 4).
• Wiggle the belt onto the pulley and screw the
idler's arm (5) onto the rear frame.
• Attach the clutch cable (6) and the idler's spring
(7).
3 Hydrostatic Machines
• Fit the washer and circlip on the pendulum shaft.
• Fit the hydrostatic transmission cable and its
casing (2+4).
• Attach the cable to the neutral position contact
(5).
• Fit the rear belt (8).

• Attach the brake cable to the arm under the tank
and the casing fixture on the rear frame (6).
• Fit the idler's spring (1).
• Fit the hydrostatic transmission's fan and the
circlip (7).

Make sure that the cables and controls are properly
adjusted (see Checking and Adjusting the respec-
tive cables). Finally, fit the transmission/gearbox
cover.
Check the neutral position contact's setting on
machines with hydrostatic transmission.
