Loosen the four screws that hold the blade bear-
ings and remove the entire bearing assembly from
the cutting unit.

Remove the hub using a puller. Do not lose the key
that sits between the hub and the axle.

Remove the protective metal washer.

• Push out the axle with a puller.
• Tap out the bearing and remove the spacer.

You can purchase the entire assembly, complete
6012-084
with axle housing, axle, spacer, and bearings.
Assemble in the reverse order as described for
dismantling.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
When tightening the blade axle screws,
the transmission side should always be
tightened first and then the blade screws.
When the blades on the mulching unit
have been removed, the friction disc
located between the blade and nut must
be replaced.
Make sure that the axle is mounted in the same
direction as when it was removed, otherwise the
6012-085 keys will not fit the slots.
Tighten the blade bearings with a torque of
20-25 Nm.
