1. Introduction

The MB89PV930A Evaluation board is a low cast Evaluation board for the Fujitsu
MB89930A series. It can be used as a low cost target system for software development.
This board can be used with the In Circuit Emulator or can be used as a stand-alone
application board. The board allows the designer to immediately start software
development before his final target system is available.

2. Hardware Documentation

2.1 Board Features

The MB89PV930A Evaluation board features are:

32 pin socket adapter for better connectivity of probe cable.

5V external DC power supply.

Identical pin connectors for all MCU pins.
-
Reset push button.
-
8 test LED.
-
Option for an external clock and resonator.
2.2 Hardware Requirements

MB89PV930A board.

4 Jumpers.
-
MB2144-203 probe Cable (If ICE is used).
-
External +5V power supply

2.3 Jumper Setting

There are four jumpers on the board. These are used to set the Internal (Board crystal) and
External clock. The jumper settings for J3, J4, J5 and J6 are shown in table 1.

Note: - * External clock input should be applied at jumper J3 pin no.2 or pin no 3. Refer
board Schematic (Attached in Appendix) for details.

Resonator should be connected between jumper J5 and J6.

1-2 (or 2-3) indicates the jumper connection between pin no 1 and 2 of the
corresponding jumper pins.
