    hu 30K V olumn drilling machine ario opline eneral safeTy rules for all machines N.B.: Read the instructions carefully in order to avoid any problems. As with all machinery there are certain hazards involved with operation and use of this machine. Using the machine with respect and caution will considerably lessen the possibility op personal injury.

    ddiTional safeTy rules Always keep in mind that: • the machine must be switched off and disconnected from the power supply during maintenance and repairs, • clamped workpieces may only be measured when the machine is switched off. Never lean over the machine, mind loose clothing, ties, jewellery etc. and wear a cap. Do not remove safety devices or guards.

    npacKing Unpack the box and check for the parts below: Main parts Number Head Column with flange 1 Bracket Table Base Note: If you find any parts missing or damaged, please contact your dealer. Note: Clean the cone and taper of the drill head with a clean cloth before using the machine.
  • Page 6: Depth Adjustment

    epTh adjusTmenT The depth adjustment can be found at the right-hand side of the machine, at the feed handles. Loosen the clamp and set the scale to the desired position. The depth adjustment has two rings with cams. These ensure that the spindle starts to run and comes back up when the desired depth has been reached.

    se of The machine lacing The drill head See figure 7 • First insert the arbor into the spindle. Adjust the table height to about 25 mm from the arbor. Turn the feed handles to push the arbor in. • Insert the drill head into the arbor.

    Tapping Tapping can be done as follows: • Turn the switch for drilling and tapping in the ‘TAPP’ position. • Set the depth with the depth adjustment on the right-hand side of the machine (see also 5.2). • Turn the switch for high or low speed to ‘OFF’ . •...
