Battery Certificate
for high-voltage cell

conditions
The selling BMW Motorrad part-
ner grants the purchaser of a
new BMW C evolution vehicle
the following performance guar-
antees with respect to high-volt-
age cell modules in addition to
z
claims for material defects pur-
suant to the sales terms and
conditions for new BMW C evo-
lution vehicles:
1. The BMW C evolution Bat-
tery Certificate for the high-volt-
age cell modules in the new
BMW C evolution vehicle shall be
valid for the first 50000 kilome-
ters that the new BMW C evo-
lution vehicle is driven and shall
end, irrespective of the kilome-
ters driven, no later than five
years after the initial delivery
or the first registration of the
new BMW C evolution vehicle,
whichever comes first ("certificate
period").
2. The purchaser may request
free correction of a material de-
fect in the high-voltage cell mod-
ules at any time during the cer-
tificate period.
3. If, as a result of a material
defect to the high-voltage cell
modules, it is necessary during
the certificate period to tow the
BMW C evolution vehicle, the
purchaser shall be reimbursed
the cost of towing it to the near-
est BMW C evolution service sta-
tion.
4. For technical reasons, the ca-
pacity of a lithium ion high-volt-
age battery decreases over the
course of its useful life (natural
wear). If a capacity measurement
conducted at a BMW Motorrad
partner during the certificate pe-
riod reveals that the net battery
capacity is less than 70% of the
original value at delivery of the
new BMW C evolution vehicle,
the share below 70% shall con-
stitute a disproportionate loss
of capacity. This disproportion-
ate loss of capacity shall be cor-
rected for the purchaser at no
charge.
5. The purchaser may assert
claims for guarantees of
performance arising from
this BMW C evolution
Battery Certificate with the selling
BMW Motorrad partner or with
any other BMW Motorrad partner
in C evolution sales markets*.
6. The guarantees of
performance arising from
the BMW C evolution
Battery Certificate require that
maintenance be carried out
