Ethernet host interface

The controller offers a 10/100 Mbit/s Ethernet auto-sensing interface to connect to a local
area network or host computer.
Notice!
i
Use a CAT5 network cable or higher version to connect the controller with the network.

Notice!
After connecting a new controller to a network using DHCP, it can take some time before the
i
new controller is recognized by the remote server.
You can accelerate this process by running the following command in a command console:
ipconfig /flushdns
This makes the controller immediately available by its name.
Notice!
When using an Ethernet connection, switches 1 and 5 of the DIP switch must be set to the
i
ON position (= factory setting) (see Figure 3.3, item 1 , page 10 ). This also ensures correct
communication with the Bosch Building Integration System (BIS) and the Bosch Access
Management System (AMS).
Notice!
i
Whenever an AMC is connected to a new switch, powered up or detects a new network link
(e.g. because the switch rebooted or the cable was replaced), the AMC will announce its
presence on the network link.
