Eartips.
You can clean the ear tips with alcohol or chlorhexidine swabs. The ear tips can
be replaced (Part #: 5079-427) by slowly twisting them off. To install the new
one's gently twist them on with a clockwise motion.
Caution! Be careful not to close the ear tips with your fingers when
twisting. If closed, the ear tips will create air-pressure that may dam-
age the speakers in the earpieces.
Connection to other Meditron products using your
Elite Electronic Stethoscope:
5079-430 Meditron Analyzer w/ECG
Allows you to record and listen to patient's heart & lung sounds. The software
can display the recording as a phonocardiogram including ECG via a PC. This is
ideal for recording, analyzing and documenting your findings. It can be used to
document information, share it with colleagues to measure the patient's progress
etc.
5079-401 Meditron Distributor
Portable unit designed for co-listening or teaching (up to 5 people). Up to 5 headsets can
be plugged into The Distributor allowing each person to hear the same sounds as the per-
son performing the exam. This an ideal bedside teaching tool and can a great tool in con-
junction with a colleague for a second opinion.

Care and Maintenance.

It is important to clean and disinfect your stethoscope to prevent possible cross-contamination.
1. Chestpiece and earpieces can be cleaned with alcohol, chlorhexidine or with a wet cotton swab. Take
care not to let water enter into the stethoscope as this may cause damage.
2. Batteries may be replaced by sliding back the cover underneath the stethoscope head. Expected battery
life time is app. 240 hours. (1 x Lithium CR123A)
