Suspension Inspection
Shock Absorbers
Inspect shock absorber for oil leaks or
other damage.
Check tightness of fasteners.
See an authorized Can-Am dealer as
necessary.
Ball Joints
Inspect ball joint boots for cracks.
WARNING
The ball joint must be replaced if
the boot is cracked.
Front A-Arms
Check A-arms for cracks, bending or
other damage.
See an authorized Can-Am dealer as
necessary.
Rear Trailing Arms
Check trailing arms for distortion,
cracks or bending.
See an authorized Can-Am dealer if any
problem is detected.

19) Brakes

Brake Fluid Reservoir Level
Verification
With vehicle on a level surface, check
brake fluid in reservoirs for proper
level.
NOTE: A low level may indicate leaks
or worn brake pads.
Front Brake Reservoir
Turn steering in the straight-ahead po-
sition to ensure reservoir is level.
Check the brake fluid level, the reser-
voir is full when the fluid reaches of the
top of window.
Visually inspect lever boot condition.
Check for cracks, tears, etc. Replace if
damaged.

Rear Brake Reservoir
Remove the seat.
With vehicle on a level surface, liquid
should be between MIN. and MAX.

1. Rear brake fluid reservoir
Adding Brake FLuid
Clean filler cap.
Clean filler cap before removing.
Remove screws retaining the reservoir
cap.
Remove reservoir cap.
Add fluid as required using a clean fun-
nel. Do not overfill.
