Checking the Battery modules
Check the manufacturing date of the Battery
module. Manufacturing date is printed on the
battery label.
The batteries must be replaced after 3 years.
• Allow the Battery module to charge until it is fully
charged. To display battery status:
– Press the battery power symbol button on the
battery to be checked. All four LEDs must be lit.
and
– Select Status / Modules on the User Interface.
Check that remaining time is more than 30
minutes on the battery to be checked.
• With gas, patient tubes and test lung connected,
let the Servo... System run in a ventilation mode.
• Disconnect mains power to the Servo... System to
allow battery operation.
• Let the Servo... System run in battery operation and
check that the "No battery capacity"- alarm is not
activated within the specified time. The Operating
time is dependent on the number of Battery
modules connected, refer to the "Servo... Ventilator
System – User's manual".
• Check that the time between the "Limited battery
capacity"- alarm and the "No battery capacity"-
alarm is more than 7 minutes.
Note: All alarms are time-stamped and stored in the
Servo... System. This alarm information can be
displayed in the Event log.
• Allow the backup battery to recharge before clinical
use of the Servo... System. The Charging time is
dependent on the number of Battery modules
connected, refer to the "Servo... Ventilator System –
User's manual".
After any maintenance or service of the Servo...
System, perform a "Pre-use check". Refer to the
"Servo... Ventilator System – User's manual".
