e) Connecting the Flight Battery

Move the control stick for the pitch and tail functions
(also see figure 1, item 8) to the bottom position and
switch on the transmitter.
Then connect the polarity-reversal protected plug of
the helicopter connection cable to the flight battery at
once.
The electronics in the model helicopter now perform an
alignment. To indicate this, a red LED (1) flashes very
fast on the left below the canopy. Do not move or turn
the helicopter during this time.
After approx. 5 seconds, reconciliation has been com-
pleted and the LED in the model helicopter now remains
lit.
The two swash plate servos move to the home posi-
tion, and the swash plate (2) should then be aligned
horizontally (see auxiliary line in the lower illustration
of figure 9).
Now your model helicopter is ready to start.
If the swash plate is tilted, use the trim or twist the
linkage rods to precisely adjust the swash plate. For
further information on this, see the following chapters
„Trimming the Model Helicopter" and „Fine-Tuning the
Model Helicopter".
If the LED in the model helicopter continues to flash
slowly after reconciliation, either the transmitter is not
switched on or the model helicopter has lost its binding
to the transmitter. In this case, the transmitter functions
must be inspected or the transmitter and model heli-
copter must be bound again. For further information on
this, refer to the following chapters „Binding the model
helicopter".
