d) Connecting the Flight Accumulator
Push the charged flight accumulator (1) according to
the figure, from the back in the battery shaft (2). The
accumulator's connection cable must point backwards
in flight direction.
In order to achieve the correct balance, the accumulator
must be inserted to the front stop and must not protrude
over the accumulator support.
Pull out the transmitter antenna completely and turn
on the transmitter.
Then slide the left control stick to the bottom position
(see ill. 1, pos. 12, engine-off position).
Now you can connect the flight accumulator with the
help of the BEC connection (see figure 6, item 3), which
is protected against wrong polarity, on the receiver/
controller element (see figure 6, item 4). The triple-pole
charging cable (see figure 7, item 5) is not connected
to the model.
After connecting the flight battery, the receiver/controller
module (1) then carries out an internal alignment that
lasts for approx. 10 seconds.
While this is going on, the red control LED on the top of
the receiver/controller module (2) flashes red. The
helicopter must not be moved during this time.
Once matching is complete, the two servo engines (also
see ill. 17, pos. 1 and 2) of the rotor control also move
to neutral (centre position) and the control LED is
permanently green.
Attention!
If the control LED (2) changes from green to red during flight, the flight battery is almost discharged. When
the LED starts to flash, land your model immediately to avoid harmful deep discharge of the flight battery.
