This kit is designed to control more than one appliance on a system using the Field Controls CAS-4 Combustion

Air System with a chimney vented 24 VAC controlled combustion appliance. The controls in the CAS-4 will

operate only one appliance, therefore a CAC-24 is required for each additional appliance to be added to the same

CAS-4 unit. One CAS-4 unit can handle, at max, a total combined fi ring rate input of up to 450,000 BTU/HR. Refer

to the instructions included with the CAS-4 for more details and other restrictions.

This device MUST be installed by a qualifi ed agency in accordance with the manufacturer's installation instructions. The defi nition of

a qualifi ed agency is: any individual, fi rm, corporation or company which either in person or through a representative is engaged

in, and is responsible for, the installation and operation of HVAC appliances, who is experienced in such work, familiar with all the

precautions required, and has complied with all the requirements of the authority having jurisdiction.

Page 2 The junction box may be mounted anywhere that is convenient for routing the wiring and tubing. Mount the CAC-24 to a wall or fl oor joist using the four dimpled locations on the base of the box (See Figure 1).
Page 3 Figure 1 FAN PROVING SWITCH AIR SENSING TUBE INSTALLATION Attach the provided plastic tubing to the fan proving switch on the CAC-24 using the plastic compression fi tting on the switch. Cut the exposed tubing on the CAS-4 as shown in Figure 2. Install the provided plastic Tee and connect the tubing from the CAC-24 to the Tee.
