4286 VIP Module Installation and Setup Guide

The on-premises phone system need not have Touch-tone service, but the
phone used for security system access must have Touch-tone capability.
Switchable phones should be set for Touch-tone temporarily before attempt-
ing phone access. However, an off-premises phone that does not have Touch-
tone service and uses pulses for dialing may not permit switching to Touch-
tone after dialing; in such a case, phone access from that phone will not be
possible.

These following control panels require specific software revisions for use with
the 4286 VIP Module:
Vista-10SE, Via-30PSE Rev. 13 (micro. WA6764V10) or above; Vista-20SE
Rev. 7 (micro WA7840V6) or above; Vista-40 Rev. 12 (micro. WA4142P2-22) or
above; Vista-50P Rev. 5 (micro. WAVIS50P-15) or above; Vista-100 Rev. 4
(micro. WAVIS100-14) or above; Vista-128FB Rev. 1 (micro WAVIS128FB-11)
or above.

Differences between the 4285 and 4286 VIP Module

The 4286 VIP Module offers increased capabilities when used with a control
that supports the 4285. These include:
