MAINTENANCE

Your grass trimmer has been designed to operate over a long period of time with a minimum of
maintenance. Continuous satisfactory operation depends upon proper tool care and regular cleaning.
WARNING
Before performing any maintenance, switch off and unplug the tool.
• Regularly clean the ventilation slot in your grass trimmer using a soft brush or
dry cloth.
• Regularly clean the cutting line and spool using a soft brush or dry cloth.
• Regularly use a blunt scraper to remove grass and dirt from the underneath
of the guard.
FITTING A NEW SPOOL OF CUTTING LINE (See Figures 16 & 17)
• Unplug the grass trimmer.
• Remove the empty spool. See Figure 16.
• Press the both tabs

• Replace with a new spool. See Figure 17
• Release both cutting lines from the parking slot and guide the lines into both eyelet
lines should protrude approx. 4 inches from the eyelet
• Put the new spool
• Snap the spool cover
WARNING
If the cutting lines protrude beyond the trimming blade, cut them off so that they
just reach the blade.
