All disinfectants must be approved in your country and have
proven bactericidal, fungicidal and virucidal properties. Use
only disinfectants with no protein-fixing properties.
1. Spray a sufficient amount of Midwest Plus Handpiece Cleaner
onto a clean, lint-free cloth and use it to clean the entire
external surface of the high-speed handpiece.
2. Brush the high-speed handpiece/quick coupling under running
water (< 38 °C, < 100 °F, at least drinking water quality) for at
least 10 seconds until no more dirt can be seen in good lighting
(min. 500 lux) and color rendering index (min. 80 Ra).
3. Flush the drive channels of the high-speed handpiece with
spray.
4. Lubricate mechanical parts manually [→ 47].
5.
Maintain the push button chuck manually [→ 50].
6. Pack the high-speed handpiece in packaging material suitable
for sterilization and storage. e.g. paper/plastic composite
packaging.
