SETTING GUIDES

Maintaining your guides and setting them properly is the easiest and most important thing you can do
to insure the longest blade life possible, the fastest feed speeds and the best cutting accuracy as well
as extending the life of the guides themselves.
Important: Always make sure blade tracking and cutting angle are set properly before adjusting
guides.

Adjusting the Guides
You should start by setting the movable guide (guide opposite of the fence) close to the width of the
wood. For example, if you are cutting 3.5" wide material set your movable guide about 4" from the
fence line. This is done by loosening the bolt on the back side of the head holding the guide arm.
Move the guide to the desired position and tighten the bolt back down. You will want to check your
guide alignment before you begin sawing, unless you have an optional floating guide system.
Move left guide after loosening the bolt on the backside of the head rig as shown below.
Loosen Upper Guide Plate Bolt and raise Upper Guide Plate up to highest point. Retighten
Upper Guide Plate Bolt.
Loosen the up & down positioning bolts on the back of guide brackets to position the lower
plate so that it is lightly touching the blade but not deflecting it. Also, tilt the Guide Block so
that it runs parallel to the blade. Retighten up & down positioning bolts.
