5.4 Storing food in the freezer compartment

Use the freezer drawers (3) to store frozen foods and/or freeze fresh foods.
Place fresh foods to be frozen in the bottom drawer (3) of the freezer.
Note: The freezing process takes around 24 hours. Storing a large amount of food will
increase the freezing time.
5.5 Thawing food
Frozen food can be thawed in the refrigerator compartment or at room temperature before
being cooked, depending on your needs. Follow the food manufacturer's instructions on
the packaging.
WARNING: Thawed foods cannot be re-frozen. Consume quickly.

To avoid contamination of food, respect the following instructions:
Do not place hot food and/or liquids directly in the appliance. Allow them to cool down
before placing them in the appliance.
Do not place foods against the inside rear wall.
Store cleaned fruits and vegetables in the crisper drawer (4), butter and cheeses in
airtight containers and milk bottles in the door compartments (1).
When placing foods in containers or bags, writing dates down helps track the storage
time.
Avoid opening the doors too often and for too long to reduce the loss of cold air and
prevent humidity build-up in the appliance compartments.
Do not refreeze frozen foods after thawing.
Follow the food manufacturer's storage recommendations for frozen foods.
Do not place items such as bottled or sealed containers of liquid (e.g. bottled beers
and beverages) in the freezer compartment, as this may cause them to burst.
Prepare food in small batches to allow it to freeze and thaw more quickly.

the crisper bin. Fresh bananas, potatoes, onions and garlic
should not be kept in the refrigerator.

baked goods.
