Procedure for tensioning the timing belt
Mount tool Mot. 1496, on the end of the camshafts.
Check that the crankshaft is resting on the Top Dead
Centre pin Mot. 1489 (crankshaft groove (5) upwards).

Fitting the belt
The tension wheel and the timing pulley must be
replaced when the timing belt is replaced.
Ensure when fitting the tension wheel that the lug
of the wheel is correctly positioned in the groove
(A).
