3 Configuration Guide

3.2.3 Collecting the Fault Information

When the GPON service is faulty, you need to collect the fault information through the NMS.
Procedure
Step 1 On the Physical Map navigation tree on the Main Topology tab page, double-click the required
OLT; or select the required OLT, right-click, and then choose Device Management.
Step 2 Choose Device Panel from the navigation tree on the tab page that is displayed.
Step 3 Enter the shelf interface, and select the board to be queried. Click the tab page in the lower part
of the interface to query detailed board information.
Step 4 Choose GPON > GPON ONU.
Step 5 On the GPON ONU tab page, set the querying criteria to display the required GPON ONUs.
Step 6 Select a record from the ONU list, and check the version and LED status of the ONT.
The NMS version is R12C03.

Command Structure
The command prompt consists of two parts: fixed character string and command mode
identifier.
Use "HG861>" for example. "HG861" is the fixed character string used for identifying the
device that is logged in to. ">" is the command mode identifier used for identifying the
current mode.
Command Modes
The command modes of the HG861 consist of user mode, privilege mode, and global config
mode.
Figure 3-1
shows the relations between the command modes. A pane represents a command
mode. An arrow indicates the switching from one mode to another mode. The switching
commands are listed near the arrows.
