ISCOM6820-GP (A) Installation Guide
The device may be damaged after leaving the factory during transport or due to other reasons.
Therefore, we recommend conducting power-on self-test to avoid installing a damaged one.
Check the device according to the following steps:
Step 1 Take the chassis out of the packing box. Put it on a stable workbench or floor in the
equipment room.
Step 2 Connect the ground cable according to section 3.3.4 Connecting ground cable.
Step 3 Install components according to chapter 4 Installing components.
Step 4 Install the power cable according to chapter 5 Connecting cables.
Step 5 Power on the device after components, ground cable, and power cable are correctly installed.
Step 6 Check the status of card LEDs.
If the LEDs are normal, install the device to the specified location according to the working
process flow.

3.3 Installing chassis

3.3.1 Introduction

The ISCOM6820-GP device can be installed in the following scenarios:
When installing a chassis in a 600-mm cabinet, you need to purchase brackets
customized for the 600-mm cabinet

3.3.2 Installing chassis in cabinet

Wear a properly-grounded ESD wrist strap when installing the chassis and
components to prevent damage caused by static electricity.
If you wish to install the ISCOM6820-GP device in cabinet, refer to section 2.2 Checking
installation conditions to choose a cabinet which meets the following requirements:
ETSI 600-mm cabinet
19-inch 450-mm cabinet
19-inch 600-mm cabinet
Open rack
Workbench
The cabinet is strong enough to support the weight of the ISCOM6820-GP device and its
components.
