10. Remove the sample chamber cap, place the sample cup back into the chamber, and replace
the cap. Turn the cap clockwise to tighten.
11. Allow the standards to reach thermal equilibrium with the pycnometer.
Wait 10 minutes for 1- and 10 cm

Wait 15 minutes for the 100 cm
l
Wait 20 minutes for the 350 cm
l
30 minutes for the 2000 cm
l
12. Click Continue to complete the second phase of the calibration (volume scale). Status mes-
sages display until the calibration is complete.
13. Click Done to accept the new values, then click OK.
14. Do not remove the standard from the sample chamber until the operation is verified. See
Verify Operation on page 10 -
