Description
Black STLCDFN, or white STLCDFB fl at, capacitative keypad, blue-backlit,
liquid-crystal display, with touch buttons, either surface or fl ush mountable
(with item 001SBOXTF box).).
Card main components
1. RS-485 bus terminals for connecting to the control unit
2. Tamper-proof device
3. Tamper activating jumper switch
4. Communicating with control unit LED notifi cation light
5. Keypad buzzer
6. Protective insulation for the capacitative keypad.
Display
The display is composed of 2 lines of each characters each.
When idle, the light intensity is reduced after a preset time.
Below the display there are 16 numbers that facilitate interpretation of the
second line of display.

Light warnings
LED
STATUS MEANING
(colour)
It means there are open outputs associated to the keypad. Alarm
is raised when a scenario is brought up. Check open entrances
when starting up scenarios.
(green)
It means there are NO open outputs associated to the keypad.
The system can be switched on without any problems.
It means the associated areas are switched off (system off ).
It means that all of the associated areas are switched on
(system totally on).
(green)
It means that at least one associated area is switched on
(system partially on).
It means that the alarm is NOT triggered in the associated areas.
It means that the alarm is triggered in at least one of the associ-
ated areas (system in alarm status).
(red)
It means that the associated system has detected an alarm
which has been dampened. See event history for alarm list. To
remove notice see chapter on managing the system.
It means that there are no breakdowns in the system.
It means that the 230 Vac main power supply is absent.
(yellow)
It means that the control unit battery is run-down.

• Set the keypad language
• Set the address
• Adjust the contrast
• Enable/disable the keypad buzzer
Set the address within 4 minutes of powering the keypad.
(See the Keypad Menu steps on page 21 of chapter 6.4 in the installation manual)
One system may feature up to 16 keypads and each must have a unique
address.
It is advisable to train the fi nal user to use the keypad menu.
At the end, it is nevertheless necessary to enable keypad recognition from
the CP control unit (in the paragraph referred to above).
The Keypad menu is available for capacitive keypad (STLCDFx) from ver-
sion FW 1.09, and for membrane keypads (STLCDS) from version FW 1.08.

PLEASE NOTE: the red LED light must fl ash is installation is completed prop-
erly, otherwise check for proper keypad connection and addressing, including
the CP control unit programming ④.

FUNCTIONS
The alphanumeric keys let you enter access codes, select
areas when starting up and modify parameters.

After inserting the code it lets you access the User Menu.
If pressed and held down for fi ve seconds, allows access to
the keypad menu (see the manual for the 319V43 control
unit).
