7. Remove lower access panel by removing the nut on the
access tube and two screws. Route crankcase heater
wires through the PCB main panel as shown below.
Ensure wires do not contact the discharge line as they
may melt.
8. Install temperature switch on the horizontal discharge
line 3 inches away from the compressor as shown in
the pictures below. The position of the temperature
switch is critical and has to be positioned in such a way
that it is completely within the sound jacket after assem-
bly for best insulation.
9. Route switch wires through the PCB main panel as
shown on picture for #6 above.
10. Connect the male terminal on the switch to the female
connector on the crankcase heater. Wrap connections
with electrical tape to insulate metal parts. Ensure
connection is inside the PCB cover to keep connection
from getting wet. See wiring illustration below.
11. Connect the second wire of the crankcase heater to the
terminal block. See wiring illustration below.
12. Connect the second wire of the temperature switch to
the terminal block. See wiring illustration below.
13. Caution: DO NOT DOUBLE UP ON THE WIRE CON-
NECTIONS TO THE TERMINAL BLOCK. Replace
existing terminal block with terminal block with adaptor.
Connect the crankcase heater and switch cables to the
adaptor. Pictures below show current terminal block
and terminal block with adaptor.
14. Attach ground wire adaptor, P/N W18211120160006
with loop, to the crankcase heater ground wire. Connect
ground wire loop to ground next to the terminal block.
See wiring illustration below.
