INSTALLATION
•
Slide rails must be provided for supporting the rear portion of the air conditioner. Do not depend on the units
mounting flange to support the entire weight. For rail location dimensions and mounting opening cutout dimension
(other than electronic racks), see Figure 3. Also refer to DIMENSIONAL DRAWING, page 10.
•
To protect the Integrity of the "closed loop" design (see PRINCIPLES OF OPERATION, page 6), adhesive backed
gasket tape is provided (shipped loose) for sealing around the enclosure's air conditioner mounting opening. The
gasket tape may be cut to length and either adhered to the air conditioner or to the enclosure as preferred.

The 3/8 inch I.D. flexible P.V.C. drain tube which exits at the rear of the air conditioner must be routed to the
exterior of the electronic enclosure. A "P" trap is built into the air conditioner to prevent ambient air from entering
the enclosure via the drain system. No addition "P" trap is required. Make sure that the drain tube plastic plug is
removed and discarded or flooding problems will occur - see Figure 4. The drain outlet must not be submerged,
nor may any portion of the drain system be elevated above the exit point of the air conditioner, or overflowing of the
condensate pan may occur.

The use of an extension cord is not recommended.
