Fuel and Oil

Oil Recommendations
Use 4-stroke motor oil that meets or exceeds the requirements for API service classification SF.
Always check the API service label on the oil container to be sure it includes the letters SF or
greater (or equivalent). SAE 30 is recommended.
To check/add oil
• Remove the dipstick and wipe with a clean
cloth.
• Insert and tighten the dipstick.
• Remove the dipstick and check the oil level. It
should be between the Min and Max marks on
the dipstick.
• If low, add oil slowly into the oil filler. Do not
overfill. After adding oil, wait one minute and
then recheck the oil level (check 2 times).
• Replace and tighten the dipstick.
Fuel Recommendations
Fuel must meet these requirements:
• Clean, fresh and unleaded regular-grade petrol.
• Petrol with up to 10% ethanol content is acceptable.
To add fuel
• Clean the fuel cap area of dirt and debris. Remove
the fuel cap.
• Fill the fuel tank with fuel. To allow expansion of
the fuel, do not fill above the bottom of the fuel
tank neck.
• Reinstall the fuel cap. Make sure the fuel cap is
closed securely.
Clean any spills immediately or before starting.
