When the battery is charged, the battery charger
switches automatically to maintenance mode.
Press and hold the button (fi g. B.1) for 3 seconds to
exit this function mode.

4.4 DESULFATION

Pulse system used to recover sulphated batteries
by applying enough voltage to neutralise the surface
layers of oxide and revitalize the underlying plates.
Recommended for WET and GEL batteries. It is
advisable to perform this operation with the battery
disconnected from the vehicle.

ATTENTION! Pay particular attention to
the nominal voltage of the battery which must
correspond to the voltage selected using the
button (fi g. B.1) and indicated on the LEDs (fi g.
B.2).

4.4.1 Procedure

- Press and hold the button (fi g. B.1) for 3 seconds
to access the advanced program mode.
- select the DESULFATION function (fi g. B.6) and
wait for the audible confi rmation signal;
- use the button (fi g. B.1) to select the battery
voltage;
- connect the clamps to the relative battery terminals
- the process starts automatically, with a variable
duration depending on the battery response,
indicated by the LED (fi g. B.4). If the desulfation
process is not completed correctly, the LED (fi g.
B.3) will indicate this alarm status, otherwise the
battery charger will automatically switch to PULSE
TRONIC charge mode.
In the case of highly sulphated batteries, hence
irrecoverable, this process may not be completed;
this condition is indicated when the charge phase
continues to restart and the opening/closing of a
relay is audible.
