Cleaning and care

• CAUTION!
• Cleaning and maintenance should not be
performed by unattended children.
• Sharp elements or abrasive cleaning prod-
ucts can deteriorate the surface of the
hood. Never use sharp or abrasive clean-
ing elements. Get the appropriate cleaning
and protection agents for your device from
the authorized service units. The surface of
the appliance and the control units are very
sensitive to scratches.
• Clean the surfaces with a soft damp cloth, a
dishwashing detergent or a non-aggressive
window cleaning product. Do not scrape!
• Using dry cloths, abrasive sponges, prod-
ucts that require friction, cleaning agents
containing sand, soda, acid or chlorine or
other strong cleaning materials is not ad-
equate.
• When cleaning stainless steel surfaces, fol-
low the polishing direction.
• Do not use cleaning agents for stainless
steel and damp cloths on the control units.
Cleaning the metal oil filters: The metal oil
filters trap the oil particles from the humid
air and the steam from the kitchen. Under
normal conditions of use (1-2 hours a day),
cleaning the metal oil filters must be per-
formed approximately on a three months
basis.
• Do not use excessively strong cleaning
agents containing chlorine or acid.
• When cleaning the metal oil filter, also
clean the elements for fixing the metal oil
filters on the appliance with a damp cloth.
• You can wash metal oil filters in the dish-
washer or manually.
5.1 Washing in the
dishwasher
• Washing the dishwasher may lightly change
the color. This will not affect the function of

the metal grease filter.
• Do not wash the dirty metal grease filters with
other dishes.
• Place the metal grease filters in the dish-
washer without cramming them. Metallic
grease filters must be placed in the dish-
washer without cramming them.
5.2 Handwashing
• You can use a special solvent for grease in
order to remove persistent dirt. You can pur-
chase this solvent from an authorized sales
center.
• Soak the metal grease filters in hot water with
dishwashing detergent.
• Use a cleaning brush and wait for the liquid
on the metal grease filters to leak completely.
• Rinse the filters well after cleaning.
