4.2 Starting a Collaboration Session on the SIPIX SD
Series
Audio/Video Collaboration Software "SIPIX RC"
The audio / video collaboration software "SIPIX RC" is a web application using the
browser "Chromium". It allows video and audio data communication between
Windows systems via a peer-to-peer connection.
1. Establish an Internet connection to the SIPIX SD.
2. Double-click on the 'RC-HUB' icon on the home screen to start the
Collaboration Session.
The website "SIEMENS Remote Collaboration - Field Engineer" opens
automatically in the browser "Chromium". Because the application starts in the
background, it may take several minutes until the browser displays the home page.
Do not close the browser.
3. Wait for the return information from the remote expert ("waiting for expert").
Note Do not start the session on the SIPIX SD side until the remote expert has
completed the access modalities.
The red dot in the tab signals the connection constitution for the video/audio
session.
1. Click the "Start Session" button to launch the video/audio session.
