Attach the other end of the copper tubing to the gas fitting on the side of
the instrument.
Safety demands that pressurized gas cylinders be securely fastened to a rigid
support.

Installing and Removing a Sample Tube

Glass, U-shaped sample tubes are used to hold the sample for analysis. (Refer to
Appendix D for the types of sample tubes available.) Sample tubes are installed
onto a sample tube holder and the holder installed onto the connectors on the
FlowSorb. Sample tube assemblies (tube and holder) are installed in the same
manner in both the Degas and Test positions.
Install the sample tube assembly as follows:
1.
Loosen the connector nuts on the sample tube holder.
2.
Insert the stems of the sample tube fully into the sample tube holder; then
tighten the connector nuts.
3.
Insert the sample tube assembly into the two connectors provided at either
the Test or Degas position. Push firmly until you hear it snap into place.
Remove the sample tube assembly as follows:
1.
Place the thumb and forefinger on the two release tabs of the connectors on
the FlowSorb.
2.
Enclose the sample tube lightly with the remaining fingers and palm of your
hand.
3.
Squeeze together the two release tabs, then gently pull out the sample tube
assembly.
