GAS BURNERS

Gas flow to the burners is adjusted by
turning the knobs illustrated in fig. 3.1
which control the safety valves.
Turning the knob so that the indicator
line points to the symbols printed on the
panel achieves the following functions:
– symbol
– symbol
– symbol
To light one of the gas burners, hold a
flame (i.e. a match) close to the top part of
the burner, push in and turn the relative
knob in an anti-clockwise direction, poin-
ting the knob indicator towards the large
flame symbol (i.e. max. gas flow). To redu-
ce the gas flow to minimum, rotate the
knob further anti-clockwise (fig. 3.2) to
point the indicator towards the small flame
symbol. The maximum aperture position
permits rapid boiling of liquids, whereas
the minimum aperture position allows
slower warming of food or maintaining boi-
ling conditions of liquids.
Other intermediate operating adjustments
can be achieved by positioning the indica-
tor between the maximum and minimum
aperture positions, and never between the
maximum aperture and closed positions.

UTILISATION DES BRULEURS
L'arrivée du gaz au brûleur est commandée
par une manette (fig. 3.1) qui actionne le
robinet à fermeture de sécurité.
En faisant coincider les symboles de la
manette avec le repère marqué sur le
tableau de bord, nous aurons:
- repère : robinet fermé
(brûleur éteint)
- repère : plein débit
(brûleur au maximum)
- repère : ralenti
(brûleur au minimum)
Pour allumer l'un des brûleurs, appro-
cher une flamme du haut du brûleur,
appuyer sur le bouton correspondant et
le faire tourner dans le sens contraire
des aiguilles d'une montre (fig. 3.2),
jusqu'à ce que le symbole représentant
une grande flamme (débit max.) coïnci-
de avec celui qui se trouve sur le
tableau.
Pour obtenir un débit plus réduit, conti-
nuer à faire tourner le bouton à fond,
jusqu'au symbole représentant une peti-
te flamme.
Le débit maximum sert à faire bouillir
des liquides rapidement, tandis que le
débit réduit permet de faire réchauffer
quelque chose lentement ou bien de
maintenir la température d'ébullition.
Toutes les positions de fonctionnement
doivent se trouver entre le maximum et
le minimum, jamais entre le maximum et
la position de fermeture.
