1. Installation of the Clima Eco
Min/Max Fan Speed
1. Do not place the sensor to be connected in direct
sunlight nor in the direct airflow of fans, as this may
influence the measurements. The sensor must be
mounted at a height of +/- 1 meter above the floor.
2. Mount the TechGrow Clima Eco Min/Max Fan Speed
on the wall with the supplied mounting kit.
3. Connect the sensor to the bottom of the Clima Eco
Min/Max Fan Speed.
4. Put the plug of the fan into the outlet of the Clima
Eco Min/Max Fan Speed.
5. Put the plug of the Clima Eco Min/Max Fan Speed
into an electrical outlet.
6. Ready!
2. Operation of the Clima Eco
Min/Max Fan Speed
The Clima Eco Min/Max Fan Speed controls the
minimum and maximum fan speed to reach or keep the
desired room temperature.
The Clima Eco Minimum Fan Speed has 3 rotary knobs
to set the minimum fan speed, maximum fan speed and
desired temperature level. Hysteresis: 2 °C.
The fan control works on the basis of the set minimum
fan speed, set maximum fan speed, set temperature and
the hysteresis.
Example
If the desired temperature is set to 27 °C and the
hysteresis is 2 °C, the temperature can be between 25 °C
and 29 °C (27 °C - 2 °C / 27 °C + 2 °C).
If the temperature is below the set temperature minus
hysteresis (in this example, below 25 °C), the fan runs at
the set minimum fan speed.
If the temperature is above the set temperature plus
hysteresis (in this example, above 29 °C), the fan runs at
the set maximum fan speed.
If the measured temperature is equal to the set
temperature (in this case 27 °C), the fan runs at idle
speed (see section 4.5).
Within the set hysteresis range (+/- 2 °C), the speed is
automatically reduced to the set minimum fan speed or
increased to the set maximum fan speed.

NOTE If no sensor is connected to the Clima Eco
Min/Max Fan Speed, the fan runs continuously at the
set minimum speed.
3. Connecting sensor
The minimum sensor required is the TempProbe. When
using a TempProbe, the controller can only be used
stand-alone. If you use a temperature / relative humidity
sensor, you can link the controller to other TechGrow
devices, such as the data logger (DL-1).
Always switch the controller off if you want to replace
the sensor.
4. Control and set the Clima Eco
Min/Max Fan Speed
4.1 Minimum fan speed
After installing the Clima Eco Min/Max Fan Speed the
fan starts to run (the fan must be on). Set the desired
minimum fan speed "Min Fan Speed" (10% – 100%) by
turning the left knob.
4.2 Maximum fan speed
Turn the middle knob to set the desired maximum fan
speed "Max Fan Speed" (50% – 100%).
4.3 Temperature
Turn the right knob to set the desired room temperature
"Temp" (15 °C – 35 °C).
4.4 Hysteresis
The hysteresis is 2 °C.
4.5 Idle speed
If the measured temperature in the room is equal to the
set temperature, the fan runs at idle speed. This fan
speed lies in the exact middle of the set minimum fan
speed and the set maximum fan speed. If the
temperature deviates within the range of the hysteresis,
the fan speed will adjust in proportion to the idle speed.
Example
The set minimum fan speed is 40%.
The set maximum fan speed is 100%.
