Configuring the Video Inputs

The Video Input Detail page allows the configuration of the video format and the camera control
protocol for each attached camera.
When using 4 CIF the video is automatically deinterlaced to give a better quality on motion.
The Serial ports and Sensornet configurations should be completed before the Video Input
configuration, as detailed in Procedure 3-17.

Procedure 3-17 Configuring the Video Inputs

1 Ensure that the browser is displaying the Configuration page (if not refer to Procedure 3-11).
2 From within the Video Inputs section select the Edit button of the first Video Input to be
configured.
A Video Input detail page is displayed, as shown in Figure 3-13.
3 Enter the required Name for the Video Input.
4 Select the required Video Format from the drop down menu. The options are Auto, NTSC and
PAL. The default setting is Auto, which will auto detect the incoming video stream format.
5 If using 4 CIF the video is automatically deinterlaced to give better quality on motion. To disable
deinterlacing select Disable from the Deinterlace (4 CIF) drop down menu.
6 Select the required PTZ Protocol from the drop down menu. The options available in the drop
down list will vary with the protocols that are available. The default setting is None.
7 Select the required Port from the drop down menu
Note
For RS-422 and RS-485 Serial Port 2 must be selected.
8 If required enter the Camera Address. Certain PTZ protocols require each camera to have a
unique address which is sent in each command. If this is not required use the default setting of
0.
