APPENDIX B: AD2024MDT Master
Date/Time Module
The AD2024MDT has four looping video inputs and
four separate video outputs with system time/date
information. This module provides:
• Looping connection for the video input signals
• Insertion of time/date text on the video output
connections.
Note: This module requires an open slot in the
bay. If no slot exists, it takes the place of a VOM.
Note: This module is used with dedicated inputs
for dedicated outputs, and does not perform bay-
to-bay switching.
AD2024MDT Front Panel
The front panel controls are identical to those on
the AD2024BVOM module. Referring to Figure 18,
the front panel:
• Controls adjust the brightness, vertical, and
horizontal position for each title displayed on
each of the four video outputs.
• Four-position rotary switch governs which
output is selected for control.
• LED blinks to verify operation of the
AD2024MDT.
AD2024MDT Rear Panels
The rear panel (Figure 27) Has 12 BNC connectors
and handles four separate video input channels: A,
B, C, and D.
• Upper four pairs of BNCs are for video inputs
from bays and looping outputs to other video
equipment, such as VCRs. Each BNC pair in
the upper groups is an un-terminated looping
connection.
• Bottom four BNCs are video outputs contain
time/date information from the Data Line.
Video inputs to the AD2024MDT module can
connect to either input BNC of each input channel.
• If the video is terminated in the module, and not
looped to additional equipment via the paired
BNC, connect a 75-ohm terminator to the paired
input BNC.
• The 75-ohm terminators are supplied for the
looping BNC connectors. If any video input is
looped to another video device, ensure that the
line is terminated to 75 ohms.
• The video output connections from the bottom
four BNCs on each module must be terminated
to 75 ohms.

Setup Switches
The AD2024MDT module contains jumpers that
are set to identify the monitors that the video output
is directed to. These jumpers are factory set for
monitors 1–4.
