Selecting Printer Messages
The Printer Messages settings select the type of
messages output to the printer ports. Four message
options are available: Alarm, Video Loss, Power
Status, and Menu Monitor. Any or all of these can
be enabled for printouts. The default setting is "Yes"
for each option.
To select messages types to be printed:
1. Move the cursor to the Printer Messages setting
you want to change.
Alarm for alarm messages
Video Loss for video loss messages
Power Status for power on messages
Menu Monitor for menu access messages
2. Press the Enter (Shot) key to toggle the settings:
Select Y (yes) to print the selected message
type.
Select N (no) to disable printing of the
selected message type.
Note:
Appendix C of the AD168 Administrator's
Manual includes the format and content of each
message.
3. When finished making changes, press Exit
(Pattern) to return to the previous menu.
Changing Time and Date
Settings
When Time and Date is selected from the System
menu, the following menu displays.
TIME AND DATE
DATE FORMAT - MM-DD-YY
DATE - 05-25-02
TIME - 14:32:00
PREVIOUS MENU
Use this menu to select the date format, change the
current date setting, and change the current time
setting for the system.

Selecting the Date Format
The Date Format setting selects the format for
displaying the system date. The format of the Date
setting automatically changes to correspond to the
format selection. The default format is Month-Day-
Year.
To change the date format:
1. Move the cursor to the Date Format line.
2. Press the Enter (Shot) key to scroll through the
available date formats.
Select MM-DD-YY for Month-Day-Year
format.
Select DD-MM-YY for Day-Month-Year
format.
Select YY-MM-DD for Year-Month-Day
3. When finished making changes, press Exit
(Pattern) to return to the previous menu.
Note:
The date format may also be changed by
entering the number that corresponds to the desired
format and pressing the Enter (Shot) key.

Changing the Current Date Setting
The Date setting changes the system current date
the using the selected format Date Format.
1. Move the cursor to the Date line.
2. Enter the first two digits of the date based on the
format selected and press the Enter (Shot) key.
3. Enter the second pair of digits based on the
format selected and press the Enter (Shot) key.
4. Enter the third pair of digits based on the format
selected and press the Enter (Shot) key.
Note:
Pressing the Enter (Shot) key without
entering a number results in a "00" entry for that
item.
5. When finished making changes, press Exit
(Pattern) to return to the previous menu.
