7.2 Operation by Zoom Seesaw Control Lever
a. Zoom servo/manual select knob to "S."
Press T-sde of the lever to zoom to the tele sde, and the W-sde to zoom to the wde sde.
For the speed control, adjust the strength to press the lever. Pressng the lever deeply makes the zoom
speed faster, and shallowly makes slower.
Note. If the zoom lmt functon s used, the zoom wll stop at the zoom lmt postons. In ths case, the
zoom may not reach the tele end or the wde end.
< Control of Zoom Maximum Speed >
By means of the zoom maxmum speed control knob (see the next page), the zoom maxmum speed can be
changed n seven steps n servo operaton. Rotate the knob clockwse to ncrease the speed.
7.3 QuickZoom Operation
In quckzoom operaton, pressng a swtch moves the zoom to the tele end quckly.
The operator can use ths functon n such occasons lsted below.
・ When rapd zoomng to the tele end s requred to focus on the object precsely.
・ To confirm, n a moment, the composton of the mage n the extreme closeup shot.
Note. If the zoom lmt functon s used, the zoom wll stop at the zoom lmt poston. In ths case, the zoom
may not reach the tele end.。
Operation
a. Set the Zoom servo/manual select knob to "S."
b. Keep pressng the quckzoom & auto crusng zoom swtch untl the zoom reaches the tele end.
c. Whle pressng the quckzoom & auto crusng zoom swtch, perform precse focusng or confirm the
composton of the mage n the extreme closeup shot.
d. Release the quckzoom & auto crusng zoom swtch.
─ The zoom wll move to ts former poston quckly.
(If you press the quckzoom & auto crusng zoom swtch agan before the zoom returns to ts former poston,
the quckzoom movement restarts. After ths operaton, f the swtch s released, the zoom wll move to ts
former poston quckly.)
Note . By settng an approprate swtch n the area of "Functon & Mode Select Swtches" (refer to page
), the return swtch and the VTR swtch can be used also as a quckzoom & auto crusng zoom
swtch.
Note . In quckzoom operaton, the zoom moves at the maxmum speed rrespectve of the settng poston of
the zoom maxmum speed control knob.
Note . If you press the quckzoom & auto crusng zoom swtch whle pressng the zoom seesaw control lever,
the zoom moves n auto crusng zoom operaton, not n quckzoom operaton.
