IRIS MODE SELECT SWITCH
IRIS MOMENTARY SWITCH
There are two rs operaton modes: auto rs mode and manual mode.
For the operatng nstructon n each mode, refer to the descrpton on each mode.
5.1 AUTO IRIS MODE
Set the rs mode select swtch to "A."
The rs of the lens wll automatcally be adjusted respondng to the object brghtness.
5.2 MANUAL MODE
a. Set the rs mode select swtch to "M."
b. Rotate the rs rng by hand to adjust the rs.
From the camera sde, clockwse rotaton of the rng causes the rs to move toward the closed sde and
counterclockwse rotaton toward the open sde.
Note 1. Although the rs operaton mode s n Manual, the rs s adjusted automatcally whle the rs momentary
swtch s beng pressed.
Note 2. The postons of the auto rs mode and the manual mode n the rs mode select swtch can be nterchanged
by settng the rs A-M poston change swtch (refer to page ) to ON. When the postons are
nterchanged, apply the mode ndcaton label, enclosed wth the lens, onto the mode ndcaton part of the
lens so as not to cause confuson.
Note 3. Do not operate the rs rng manually when the bult-n motor s performng the servo operaton to turn the
rs. Applyng excessve force to the rs rng whle the rs mode select swtch s set to "A" or the auto
rs mode s actvated by pressng the rs momentary swtch may cause a malfuncton.
