Powering on the Device

1
Checking the Device Before Powering on it
a
Checking the voltage and the fuse capacity of the external power supply
Standard Voltage of the Input Power Supply ( DC )
Standard Voltage of the Input Power Supply ( AC )
Maximum Working Current
It is recommended that one circuit breaker ( fuse ) in the end of suite ( EoS ) corresponds to one device
( subrack ). That is, one circuit breaker in the EoS outputs one channel of power supply, which is provided to
only one device instead of multiple devices. If one circuit breaker in the EoS corresponds to multiple devices and
the overcurrent fault occurs on a device, the circuit breaker may perform the protection operation. As a result,
multiple devices are powered off.
CAUTION
Before the device is powered on, you must use the multimeter to test whether a short-circuit occurs between
the positive and negative terminals of the PDU.
b
Checking the power-on status
NOTE
For details about how to check the indicator status when AC power supply is used, see the
corresponding description when DC power supply is used.
