Connecting the Power Cords
The DSN-1100 st orage syst em has a single power recept acle:

Plug t he f emale end of t he power cord int o t he 3-pronged power connect ors on t he back
of t he DSN-1100 st orage syst em. Plug t he ot her end of t he power cord int o a working AC
out let t hat is not cont rolled by a wall swit ch.

Powering-on the DSN-1100 Storage System
To power-on t he DSN-1100 st orage syst em, press t he power swit ch locat ed inside t he f ront
cover. When t he DSN-1100 st orage syst em powers-on, t he f ollowing act ions occur:
The DSN-1100 st orage syst em Power LED t urns green.
The DSN-1100 st orage syst em runs it s power-on procedure (~4 minut es), t hen t he
Ready/ Fault LED t urns green and drive LEDs may f lash.
The complet ion of t he power-on process can be verif ied as indicat ed in Table 3-2.

If the DSN-1100 Storage System...
Has no front panel Ready/Fault LED
Has a front panel Ready/Fault LED.
Diagnostic port is connected to a PC via a diagnostic cable.

DSN-1100 Hardware Reference Guide
Verify the Power-on Process by...
Wait five minutes after powering-on the DSN-1100 storage
system.
The LED turns green when the startup process completes. If
the LED turns red, reboot the DSN-1100 storage system. If the
problem persists, contact Technical Support.
The message RCP sequence complete appears on the PC
monitor. After verifying this message, disconnect the PC from
the diagnostic port.
