8.6.3. Mode Parameters

When the Page Code is 3Fh, the autoloader returns all the implemented Mode
Pages to the host. Mode Page 00h is returned after all the other Mode Pages.
Note
Mode Pages are returned in Page Code order except for Mode Page 00h.
Mode Parameters describe the Mode Data Page structure and Page contents
supported by the autoloader. The MODE SENSE command returns a separate
Mode Data Page as specified by the Page Code field within the CDB. Each
Mode Data Page starts with a 4-byte Parameter List Header. Then, the variable
length of the Mode Data Parameters of zero or more in the specified Mode Pages
is returned.

Mode Data Length returns the number of bytes of the Parameter information
returned by the autoloader by the MODE SENSE command. This does not
include the Mode Data Length bytes, but includes all other information.
The Block Descriptor Length is the total number of bytes in the Block
Descriptor. This value is eight times the number of Block Descriptors. A Block
Descriptor Length of 0 indicates that the Mode Parameter List does not include
a Block Descriptor. The Mode Parameter Block Descriptor is shown in Table
8.6.3.2.
