8.12.4. Storage element descriptor

8.12.5. Import export element descriptor

When the VolTag bit is 1, the Primary volume tag information field is the
Volume Tag of the media present in the element. If the value of the Primary
volume tag information exceeds 36 bytes, the less significant bytes are
discarded. If the value is less than 36 bytes, it is completed with zeros. Because
the autoloader Medium transport element does not have a cartridge storage
function, this is always 0.
Table 8.12.4.1 specifies the contents of the Storage Element Descriptor.

Table 8.12.4.1 : Storage element descriptor
An Access bit of 1 indicates that access to the element by the Medium Transport
Element is permitted. An Access bit of 0 indicates that access to the element by
the Medium Transport Element is inhibited. Because the autoloader always
allows access to all Storage Elements, this is always 1.
The Source Storage Element Address field is the Storage Element Address
where the cartridge of the element was present prior to transportation to the
element. In the case of the autoloader, this field is the current Storage Element
Address. This field is valid when the Svalid bit is 1.
Other fields are the same as described in Section 8.12.3.
The autoloader has no Import Export Element, therefore it does not support the
Import Export Element Descriptor.
