Inkjet Cartridge Installation – Infinity 45
Note:
the Infinity 45 Plotter (left slot of cartridge holder). Two
standard HP inkjet cartridges can be used as an
alternate ink source for the Infinity 85 Plotter if the long-
life ink delivery system has been disabled.
1. Make sure the plotter is offline.
2. Move cartridge holder/carriage off the parking station by
pushing Access Pens on the plotter control panel.
3. Open the plotter cover.
4. Pivot the left inkjet cartridge lever up and away from the
top of the empty cartridge holder.
Note:
not used for the Infinity 45.
5. Open the new inkjet cartridge and prepare it for use by
removing the tape from the cartridge foot.
6. Install the inkjet cartridge in the left slot of the inkjet
cartridge holder as follows. Steps a, b, and c are
illustrated in Figure 21.
a) Insert the inkjet cartridge foot in the holder.
b) Push back on the upper body of the inkjet
cartridge until it locks into place.
c) Pivot the inkjet cartridge lever down until it
locks the cartridge in place.
