Maintaining the Controller and the Printhead

Do the following inspections and perform the measures as per the
scheduled frequency.
Inspection Check point
Printhead
Check the cartridge contact
pins in the printhead for
damage/corrosion
Check the printhead front
plate assembly for damage
or wear
Check the function of the
cap.
Cable
Check all screw-fastened
plug-and-socket connectors
for tight fit.
Check the printhead cables
in the cable carriers for
visible chafing, wear or
crushed areas.
Touch Screen/Controller
Check if the touch screen is
clean
Check if the surface is
clean
Cap
Check if the cap is clean

Re-prime the cartridge. Refer "Priming the Cartridge" on page 5-2.
If desired print quality can not be restored using any of these actions,
the cartridge must be replaced.

Measures
Clean the contact pins with solvent and
swab. If necessary, replace the printhead.
If necessary, replace the printhead front
plate assembly.
If necessary, replace the printhead front
plate assembly.
If necessary, re-tighten them.
If necessary, replace the printhead cables.
Clean the touch screen by wiping with a dry
soft cloth or cotton pad.
Clean the surface by wiping with a dry soft
cloth or cotton pad.
Clean the cap with solvent and swab.
