Voice Call Using Iridium Prepaid Platform (Iridium GoChat®)
Iridium Pilot uses a dedicated phone for crew calling which requires an Iridium GoChat card (see your service
provider for information on how to purchase an Iridium GoChat card). Placing a call requires pressing a
dedicated speed-dial button, then entering the phone number followed by the #. At the prompt enter your
scratch card pin number. Additional instructions are listed on each crew phone.
Follo w these steps when callin g using Irid ium GoChat:
1. Co nnect the han dset to th e BDE.
2. Press the d edicated speed -d ial butto n.
3. Type in the country code, followed by the phone number, then the # key.
4. At the prompt enter your scratch card pin number.

If a user supplied phone has been installed with the system, then the following procedure must be followed in
o rder to use th e GoCh at card s
1. Co nn ect the user supplied h an dset to the BDE
2. Dial the Language Short Code desired for the GoChat audio prompts as per the table below and press #.
3. Type in the county code, followed by the phone number, then press the # key.
4. At the prompt, enter your GoChat scratch card PIN number.
