Wireless-N 300 Routers Product Overview The PROLiNK Wireless-N 300Mbps PRN3009 is a router which has Six Modes available to choose depending on the user's needs in all circumstances. The PRN3009 powered up by 2x2 MIMO technology. This enhanced version of the existing Wireless-N 300Mbps Router improved on connectivity, extensive wireless coverage and network speed, which It can fully meet the requirement of Small Office Network with High Networking Performance.

In the previous chapter, we have made a network hardware connection setup between Internet Access, Computer and PRN3009 Router through wireless and LAN cable. In this chapter, it guides user on how to check TCP/IP setup before getting started, how to logging into the PRN3009 Desktop and Mobile Web User Interface configuration and guide on using Setup Wizard.

PROLiNK® PRN3009 Wireless-N 300 Routers After Login, it redirects to the Home Page. By Default, the PROLiNK PRN3009 is in Router Mode.
Wireless-N 300 Routers Setup Wizard PROLiNK PRN3009 come with six operations. All this mode is available for user choose base on network infrastructure. Operation mode available is Router Mode, Access Point (AP), Repeater Mode, Repeater WISP Mode, Client Mode and Client WISP Mode. For the first time entering the PRN3009 web utility, by default, the PROLiNK PRN3009 is setup as Router Mode.

By default, the Wireless Network Name (SSID) is “PROLiNK_PRN3009_xxxx” (XXXX is the last 4 LAN MAC address), and Set Wireless Security Key. For Wireless password/Security Key, as an enhanced security measure, the user needs to create a new password, and the requirement must meet at least 3 out of the following 4 complexity rules with minimum 10 characters and maximum 63 characters.

Auto Config (DHCP) - If your Internet connection is assigning IP Address automatically to PRN3009, then press “Save/Apply” when finished. Please note, if there is a special requirement from ISP, then get the information required from ISP on VLAN ID for Internet and IPTV.

Click “Save/Apply” when finished. At the homepage, if the configuration is correct, the connection status shows “Fixed IP Connected” in the status. 4. After Click “Save/Apply”, the PRN3009 will auto reboot and need to login, it shows the wizard page with the “Router” configuration set earlier.

3. Click “Site Survey” to scan the host network if your host network is hidden, user need to enter it manually. Select the network host and enter the Network Key. Note that if the PRN3009 in Client Mode, the PRN3009 will no longer accept wireless clients or broadcast the wireless signal.

If the user forgot the password, user need factory would reset the router by pressing and hold the Reset button for more than 10 seconds. Locate the reset button on the rear side of the PROLiNK PRN3009.

The First page shows up after login successfully is the Wizard Page. The Wizard page displays the current mode select for PRN3009. To set up for each Operation Mode, please check on Setup Wizard Step. Next Sub-chapter explains all the available option for each mode by clicking the Advance Button on the top right page.
Wireless-N 300 Routers Router Status For PRN3009 has six different modes and each Mode has a different status. For the first time setup, by default, the PRN3009 will in Router Mode. Shown below is the Status info and status for each Mode.
This information only available on Repeater Mode and Repeater (WISP) Mode. It shows the information about wireless mode, the SSID of the host router connected, Authentication and Encryption of the host router, Host Router BSSID or MAC address and the state connection between PRN3009 with the host router.

In the Wireless Advance setting, there is six option that the user can manually configure. Basic Settings, Advance Settings, Security Settings, Access Control, WPS Settings, and GREEN AP. PROLiNK® PRN3009 Wireless-N 300 Routers Multiple AP The device supports multiple vertical AP. They are sharing the same RF radio, but are able to set auth. and encryption, and are able to accept associations separately. By click “Enable”, The Multiple AP can be created up to four extra AP.
PROLiNK® PRN3009 Wireless-N 300 Routers Advance Settings Advanced Settings is only for more technically advanced users, who have sufficient knowledge about wireless LAN. These settings should not be changed unless the user knows what effect the changes will have on wireless compatibilities.
PROLiNK® PRN3009 Wireless-N 300 Routers Security Settings This setting is manually set up the wireless security settings to prevent any unauthorized access to your wireless network. WEP - Wired Equivalent Privacy, old encryption introduced by IEEE 802.11. It supports 64-bit and 128-bit keys and has two security methods: Open and Shared.
PROLiNK® PRN3009 Wireless-N 300 Routers Access Control Access Control can be set to allow or deny client associating with the wireless network by MAC address. There is two option available:- Allow Listed - only allows the clients whose MAC addresses are in the access control list.
PROLiNK® PRN3009 Wireless-N 300 Routers WPS Settings WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) could let wireless user client atomically synchronize its settings and connect to the Access Point in a minute without any hassle. WPS Settings – User has the option to enable and disable WPS settings.
PROLiNK® PRN3009 Wireless-N 300 Routers Green AP Green AP allows the user to set up the wireless turning Off and On schedule. Start time is the time the wireless turn off the broadcasting and the End Time is the time wireless turn on the broadcasting.
DHCP Type - Client will obtain an IP address from DHCP server elsewhere, while on Server will offer IP addresses for the network. DHCP Client Range – Range of IP address provided by the PRN3009 to the client DHCP Lease Time - Enter the length of time for the IP address lease in minutes.
PROLiNK® PRN3009 Wireless-N 300 Routers Show Client – DHCP Client Range Click on “Show Client” the table DHCP client list will popup. It will list all the DHCP connection to the router. Set Static DHCP Static DHCP is used to reserve a specified IP address for the MAC address, so the host will always obtain the bound IP address when booting up.
PROLiNK® PRN3009 Wireless-N 300 Routers WAN Settings On WAN setting, there is three different connection configuration can manually configure. Fixed IP, Auto-Config (DHCP) and PPPoE Dial-UP. This is the advanced setting for advanced user to configure. Fixed IP - Manually set IP address, gateway, DNS server etc. for the network connection.

IPV6 Settings WAN Setting PRN3009 is the IPV6 ready router. This page is used to configure parameter for internet network which connects to WAN port of your router, this to enable IPv6 function and set up the WAN settings for IPv6 connection.
PROLiNK® PRN3009 Wireless-N 300 Routers LAN Setting This page is to set up the LAN settings for IPv6. DHCP Server - can be used to offer IPv6 address and DNS server address for the hosts, but is not able to provide default gateway. Please set router advertisement for a gateway if necessary.
PROLiNK® PRN3009 Wireless-N 300 Routers Router Advertisement The PRN3009 support IPV6 Router advertisement for Neighbor Discovery and Auto-configuration. Below are the details on the configurations. Max. Router Advertisement Interval - The maximum time allowed between sending unsolicited multicast router advertisements from the interface.

The PRN3009 has seven option on firewall setting, which is Port Filtering, IP filtering, MAC Filtering, Port Forwarding, URL Filtering, DMZ and VLAN setting.
PROLiNK® PRN3009 Wireless-N 300 Routers IP Filtering IP Filtering is used to restrict local host with specified IP address from accessing the Internet IP Filtering allow you to restrict certain types of data packets from your local network to Internet through the Gateway.
PROLiNK® PRN3009 Wireless-N 300 Routers Port Forwarding Port Forwarding allows you to automatically redirect common network services to a specific machine behind the NAT firewall. These settings are only necessary if you wish to host public services such as a Web server or mail server on the private local network.

Wireless-N 300 Routers Time Zone Settings Time Zone Settings allow the user to change PRN3009 time and date. You could manually insert the time and date or automatically sync with the server (Syn. My Host). Please note, the system time may synchronize with a public time server over the Internet by choosing NTP server.
