4.4.5 User PIN

As you will have seen from Section 3, The MR500 View has a series of PINs, that are pre-set
when the unit is first manufactured. However, it is possible to define your own PINs for two of
these: the Disable PIN and Totals PIN. This means:
Ÿ You can use a PIN that you can remember more easily.
Ÿ If you own a number of MR500 View's (or even a combination of MR500 View's and other
Cygnus Taximeters), you can give them all the same user PINs
Warning: The User PINs can be set as often as required. It is
important that you keep a record of them as they are only known to
you. If you lose the numbers, we will not be able to find them again.
However, the factory set PINs will continue to work.
Also we recommend that you do not choose numbers which are easy
to guess, like '111111'.
Press SELECT to enter the User PIN menu.

4.4.6 The User PIN Sub Menus

Press SELECT to set the USER PIN.
Press EXTRAS to alternate between DISABLE PIN and TOTALS PIN

Disable PIN or the Totals PIN).
Ÿ Now enter your chosen User PIN when prompted.
Ÿ The MR500 View will then ask for the same number to be entered again for verification. If a
different PIN is entered, the MR500 View will flag an error, otherwise it will accept the User
PIN.
