MR500 View
4.3.4 Disable Feature
This menu entry may not be present for some Tariff set-ups. If the
Disable Feature menu entry does not appear on your MR500 View,
then this feature is not available.
If this feature is required, contact your dealer to obtain a tariff with
this feature enabled.
This feature is sometimes known as 'Date Stop'.
The Disable Feature allows you to tell the MR500 View to work only until a certain date. After
that date it will not allow you, for example, to enter HIRED mode.
This means you can allow someone else to use your MR500 View until a date of your choice.
Beyond this date they will have to return the meter to you to get the Disable Feature turned off
or another date entered into it.
The date shown on the Disable Feature menu entry represents the date from which the
MR500 View will no longer work. For example, if the date shown is '
will work until 11:59 PM on the 22
To use the Disable Feature, you need to know the MR500 View's
'Disable PIN'. You can use either this or the 'User PIN'. If you do not
have the PIN then you can only view the information here. Please see
section 2 for more information.
The menu entry shows the disable date if it is set. If it says 'OFF' then there is no disable date
set.

Press SELECT to change the Disable setting. Then enter the 'Disable
Pin' or the 'User Disable PIN'. Please see section 3.4 for details on
entering PINs
