1.
Remove the vibrator oil gauge (#D14) from the vibrator
rotary housing.
2.
Confirm the oil is level with the opening.
3.
Top up with oil if low.
4. Replace vibrator oil gauge.
REPLACING VIBRATOR SYSTEM OIL
1.
Run tool briefly to mix and warm the oil.
2.
Remove the vibrator oil gauge from the vibrator
rotary housing.
3.
Place a receptacle below the opening to catch the
waste oil.
4. Tip the tool enough to empty the oil out of the vibrator
rotary housing.
5.
Refill the vibrator rotary housing with an extreme pressure
oil until it is level with the opening.
6.
Replace the vibrator oil gauge.
7.
Dispose of the waste oil in accordance with local by-laws.
STORAGE
When not in use for an extended period, apply a thin coat of
lubricant to the steel parts to avoid rust. Remove the lubricant
before using the tool again.
LONG-TERM STORAGE
In case of long period storage for more than 30 days:
1.
Remove foreign objects such as loose stones and dirt from
the plate compactor and engine.
2.
Drain all the fuel from the fuel tank (see engine instruction
manual for procedure).
3.
Clean the engine cylinder cooling fins.
4. Clean or replace the air filter.
5.
Change engine oil and follow procedures described in the
engine instruction manual for engine storage.
6.
Store the plate compactor in a clean, dry area. Cover it up
with dry cloth for storage.
