TAKING THE APPLIANCE INTO OPERATION

Before initial operation
Clean the appliance and lid thoroughly before
initial use.
Fill approx. 5 litres of water into the preserver
and allow to boil.
Note: Odours can develop when using a
new appliance for the first time. This is due
to technical reasons and is no reason for
concern.
Notes on operation
Always wind up the mains cable fully.
Make sure that the mains cable does not
come into contact with the hot appliance
during operation.
Caution! Only fill liquid up to a maximum of
4 cm below the appliance lid (corresponds
with the 23 litres in the cooking mode) and
close the lid, otherwise there is the risk of
scalding in cooking operation.
Only plug the appliance into a safety socket
after filling.
18
Do not switch the appliance on without water
inside otherwise the enamel and coated
rack can become damaged. If this happens,
despite taking due care, wait until the
appliance has cooled down before filling with
water otherwise the sudden production of
steam can lead to scalding.
Let the condensation run off into the appliance
when removing the lid.
Avoid transporting the appliance when full.
It is very heavy when filled – risk of injury.
Empty the appliance before transport or
skim off some liquid.
Always pull the plug out after use and let
the appliance cool down.
Use the cable holder and plug storage (7)
on the underside of appliance after use.

SWITCHING THE APPLIANCE ON AND OFF

FULLY AUTO-PRESERVING COOKER
WITH TIME SWITCH
Two operating modes can be selected on the
timer starting from the OFF position (0).
(FULLY-) AUTO-PRESERVING COOKER
WITH DRAIN TAP
The only difference to the standard preserver
is the spout, which can be used to directly fill
drinks into the cup or glass.
The spout can be removed to clean. Unscrew
the chrome-plated cap under the grip piece.
Only tighten the screwconnections by hand
during assembly.
Permanent operation
Turn the knob to permanent operation in an
anticlockwise direction. This switch position
is required for dejuicing or keeping drinks
warm for longer periods. There is no automatic
switch-off in this mode. The lamp illuminates
constantly.
Automatic operation
The clock has a total running time of 2 hours.
It monitors the required preservation time
and temperature together with the temperature
controller. The time set on the clock only
starts to count down when the preselected
temperature is reached i.e. the heat-up time is
not counted. The remaining preservation time
can be read from the knob at any time. Once
the time is over, the appliance automatically
switches off and the indicator lamp goes out.
The remaining time can be corrected using the
knob at any time.
If the temperature setting needs to be corrected
during the heat-up time, please proceed as
follows:
EN
1. Turn the timer knob back to (0) and the
indicator lamp goes out
2. Reset the temperature controller to the
required temperature
3. Set the timer knob to the required
preservation time
Set the temperature controller (6) to the
required temperature. The appliance starts to
heat-up once the temperature controller is
set. The indicator lamp goes out for the first
time as soon as the required temperature
is reached. During the preservation time
that now starts, the set temperature is kept
almost constant by the temperature controller
switching the heating on for a short
time. This can be recognised by the indicator
lamp being illuminated.
Switching the appliance off
Turn the temperature controller (6) back fully
(in an anticlockwise direction). Also pull out the
plug after use.
