Apply Scan Select to apply the Retention Time window to
Schedule individual MRM transitions so that each MRM
experiment can be executed at the specified time.
Users can enter up to 1250 Scheduled MRM
transitions when working with complex samples.
Sort by precursor Apply to sort the precursor masses in ascending
ion order in the MS Table prior to acquisition. In some
cases, acquiring MRM transitions in ascending order
might improve MRM sensitivity.
Enhance dynamic For TOF MS scans, extends the linear dynamic range
range of measured components to higher concentrations.
If this feature is selected, the cycle time might vary.
Note: When this feature is selected,
accumulation time for MSMS experiments cannot
be set to less than 25 ms.
Advanced Experiment Settings
Q1 resolution Select a resolution to use to separate closely spaced
components. Q1 resolution is the resolving ability
of the quadrupole. When more sensitivity is
required in an MSMS experiment, the resolution
settings can be reduced to allow more ions to be
analyzed. The Q1 resolution setting can be set to
Low or Open to increase the intensity of the
resulting signal or to allow more than just the C12
isotope in any isotope pattern to be shown. Setting
the resolution to Open provides more signal
strength and allows more isotopes to be shown.
Step size Type the size of the scan interval in Daltons.
Time bins to sum Select the number of data points to be summed.
Range for small molecule or peptides: 4 to 6.
Starting value for Intact protein analysis ( > 20 k
Da): 40
Channels 1 to 4 Select the time-to-digital converter (TDC) channels.
Each channel counts ions. If all four of the channels
are selected (the default setting), then all four
channels are summed for the total ion count.
