Solution
Check circuits breakers, switches and connection
in power supply line.
Check voltage and frequency of power supply
against the rating on the name plate.
Check all connections at line connectors and
terminal block.
Check connections to the brake coil. Check for
open or short circuit. Check for burned contacts.
Check coils for open or short circuit. Check all
connections in control circuit. Check for burned
contacts.
Reverse any two wires (except green ground wire)
at the power source.
Check all connections against wiring diagram.
Check for loose connections. See that necessary
jumper wires are properly installed on contactor.
See that necessary jumper wires are properly
installed. Verify that the contactor armatures are
free to move. If binding occurs, replace contactor.
Check for burned out contactor coils.
Check push button contacts and wires.
Reduce loading to rated load of winch, as shown
on nameplate

See that power supply current is the same voltage
Iisted on motor data plate. Check winch motor
connections. Check size of power supply lines.
Reduce loading to rated load as shown on
nameplate.
Reduce frequency of lifts or amount of jogging.
Check current rating on motor data plate against
power supply. Check einch and inspect for
defective, worn or damaged parts.
Disassemble winch and inspect for defective, worn
or damaged parts.
Adjust brake
Reduce loading to rated load as shown on
nameplate.
Bring up voltage to plus or minus 10% of voltage
specified on winch. Line voltage should be
measured while winch is lifting load
